LUCIANA PIOVAN

Luciana Piovan is a professional soprano and math educator with a background in the performing

arts, mathematics enrichment, science, and computer science. Born in Boston, MA, she grew up

in Bahía Blanca, BA, Argentina, where she developed a passion for both learning and teaching

from an early age.

Luciana taught mathematics in Argentina for 3 years, preparing students for Math Olympiad

competitions and helping them approach challenging problems from different perspectives and

develop logical and analytical thinking.

After returning to the United States, Luciana continued to pursue her interests in education and

STEM while developing a professional career as a singer. She has performed opera, concerts,

and choral music in Argentina, Austria, and the United States, including performances with the

Spoleto Festival USA Chorus and the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir. She was the soprano

soloist for the song “Make Our Garden Grow" in the film Maestro, directed by Bradley Cooper.

Additionally, Luciana has completed coursework in programming, computational thinking, and

data science through MITx and CS50. Outside of her professional interests, she loves spending

time with her family, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and going on hikes. Whether she is

working through a challenging puzzle or exploring a new trail, Luciana enjoys the combination

of curiosity, patience, and discovery—and she hopes to inspire those same qualities in her

students.
