TATIANA FESENKO

Elementary Teacher

 

Tatiana is a native of St. Petersburg, Russia, and she has newly arrived in the US last summer. From an early age, Tatiana had a deep interest in STEM disciplines and won numerous local Math competitions. She received her MS degree in Home Economics from the Alexander Herzen Teachers’ Training University in St. Petersburg, Russia. For the last 20+ years, Tatiana has been working as a children’s teacher in various subjects, ranging from Home Economics, to Math and Computer Science.  

 

In 2011, Tatiana successfully completed Robotics Education courses with Sergey Filippov, an accomplished Russian Robotics instructor, and won 1st place in the final teachers’ competition. Since then, she has also added Robotics to her teaching repertoire. In St. Petersburg, Tatiana taught Robotics at the Presidential Physics and Mathematics Lyceum #239 and at the Palace of Children's Creativity "Anichkov". Tatiana is very proud of many of her students who won different Russian national robotics competitions every year.

 

Upon arrival to the US, Tatiana started teaching Robotics at the NWA and at KleinLife in NorthEast Philadelphia. Tatiana joined GK in 2017 and has taught Math, Hands-on Exploration, Robotics and Russian Literature classes here.
