ADAM DARER
Math Teacher
Adam grew up in Rockland County, NY. He credits his first-grade teacher for his love of Math and his grandmother for his love of Science, both passions that he continues to enjoy today.

After graduating with a B.A. from Oberlin College in Chemistry (high honors) and Environmental Science, he worked in biogeochemical research laboratories as a research technician at Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Stroud Water Research Center. He later discovered his passion for sharing his love of math, science, and the natural world with his students. He currently teaches Science and Hands-On Skills at Main Line Classical Academy in Bryn Mawr, where he has taught since 2016.

Adam is also the founder of Philly Outdoor Science Education, where he runs Outdoor Skills and Outdoor Science-based classes for young learners.

When not teaching, he can be found playing piano with his 1920’s Jazz Band Parlour Noir.
